US Open 2010 – Federer’s wonder shot
US Open is known as United States Open Tennis championships. There are four grand slam tennis events that takes place every year and US Open is one of them. US Open is taken place in Queens at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City. This US Open there has been several promotional merchandise sold of Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick. The World number one Rafael Nadal is another favourite with the bookies to win this year’s US Open. As Nadal has never won an US Open title he must be eager to do so sooner than later. He has recently taken Federer’s place as the number one player in the World.
As US Open is his favourite surface many believe this year Andy Murray will win his first ever Grand Slam title of his career. In the recent hard court tournament in Toronto, Andy Murray beat both Nadal and Federer to take the title. So he has shown that he has what it takes to beat the top two but hasn’t done it on the big stage. In his career he has reached two grand slam finals one at US Open and another at Australian and both times he lost to Federer. He certainly wants to improve his finals record.
